Swedish Massage

Swedish Body Massage found its name from Per Henrik Ling, a swede whom in the 1800's combined Eastern & Western massage traditions to develop his own systems.

Swedish massage uses a firm but gentle pressure including deeper work on areas of specific muscle tension. A range of movements are used on the body such as Kneading, ringing and stretching to relax and ease tired and aching muscles. It can also be used to relax muscles after physical excursion of to warm and loosen them in preparation for exercise.

As no two people are alike, the body massage sequence will be adapted to suit the client’s needs. Swedish massage can benefit you in many ways by reducing muscle spasm, pain and tension, by releasing endorphins (the body's natural pain killers) relaxing the body and mind, thus reducing anxiety, improving mobility and circulation, to name just a few.
